Dairy and Beef producers, workers and agriculture professionals will have the ability to gather, learn and network during the Wisconsin Dairy and Beef Well-being Conference.
The conference which is presented by UW-Extension will be held March 20 and 21, 2018, at the Tundra Lodge Conference Center in Green Bay. It promises to provide great opportunities to for the attendees by featuring industry-leading professionals addressing animal handling and well-being topics.
New to the conference in 2018 is a pre-conference held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. geared specifically toward dairy workers. Attendees will learn how everyday tasks can influence animal well-being. Topics to be covered include residue prevention, pain management of dehorning, lameness, and carcass quality related to animal handling. The pre-conference will be presented simultaneously in both English and Spanish.
Then Wednesday, March 21, 2018 the main Wisconsin Dairy and Beef Well Being Conference will be held. There will be a variety of presenters at the conference coving a broad group of topics.

Registration deadline for the conference is March 9, 2018. One day registration is $50 per person, discounted rate of $75 per person for both days. Veterinarian CEU credits have been applied for and will be an additional fee of $30. Registrations received after March 9th will be charged a $20 late fee. The conference is National FARM Program endorsed and qualifies for two Beef Quality Assurance recertification credits.
