Adam Jarchow of Balsam Lake has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture (VFA) Committee for the 10th Senate District. VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Adam Jarchow demonstrated a strong knowledge of agriculture and a determination to continue his fight against burdensome regulations that hinder progress for farm families when interviewed by local farmers for the open seat in the 10th Senate District,” said Rob Richard, Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Senior Director of Governmental Relations. “Adam will hit the ground running in order to tackle the tough issues facing farmers in northwest Wisconsin.”
The 10th Senate District includes portions of Pierce, St. Croix, Dunn, Burnett and Polk counties. Jarchow is a Republican seeking an open seat resulting from former Senator Sheila Harsdorf accepting the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection secretary position. The special election will take place January 16.
“Thanks to the work and leadership of our local farmers who interviewed the candidates, they recognized that Adam stood out with his experience in the legislature,” Richard added. “Adam Jarchow will be a huge asset to the people he will represent in the 10th Senate District and Farm Bureau is proud to endorse him in his race for State Senate.”
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state, and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
