Focusing On A Stronger Culture Of Philanthropy

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever is proud to announce Rodney Schlafer as the organization’s new Upper Midwest Development Officer. Sharing a lifelong passion for the outdoors and upland hunting, Schlafer will work closely with members and supporters to increase organizational charitable giving in the name of wildlife habitat conservation efforts nationwide.

Schlafer will be responsible for working in collaboration with Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever team members, volunteers, and partners to develop new private, corporate, and public funding relationships with the goal of accelerating the organization’s mission of wildlife habitat conservation. “It is a true privilege to be working for ‘The Habitat Organization’, helping people leave a legacy on the landscape for future generations,” stated Schlafer.  Additionally, developing a stronger culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever constituents is a position priority. This includes but is not limited to: outright charitable gifts, charitable bequests, gifts of real estate, endowments, grant funding, and memorials.

“Pheasants Forever is excited that Rodney has joined our team. His passion for our mission and his ability to build lasting relationships will serve him well as he begins working with our supporters,” said Jordan Martincich, Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s director of development.

Rodney Schlafer – Green Bay, Wisconsin

Rodney Schlafer is serving as the organization’s Upper Midwest Development Officer and is working from his office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Schlafer has spent much of his career fundraising in the conservation sector with Ducks Unlimited as well as the National Wild Turkey Federation, where he gained experience working with those interested in making a philanthropic contribution to a conservation organization. Prior to working in conservation, he produced consumer trade shows for the All-Canada Show, an event dedicated to hunting and fishing lodges in Canada.

Growing up in Wisconsin along the Fox River, Schlafer was born into a family with strong ties to the outdoor lifestyle where he earned a respect for natural resources. Schlafer is now an avid hunter and conservationist who has dedicated a large part of his life to giving back to the environment. Schlafer earned his Bachelor’s degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
