Taking New Post With Dept Of Revenue

Wisconsin Department of Revenue Secretary Richard Chandler announces the appointment of Jeff Lyon as the new Administrator of the department’s State and Local Finance Division, effective November 13, 2017.

Jeff was appointed Interim Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) by Governor Scott Walker in August 2017 and served as Deputy Secretary of DATCP since January 6, 2011.

“Jeff’s extensive knowledge and experience with both state and federal issues make him a key member of our leadership team. In his new role, I am confident he will help us continue to strengthen our partnerships and further our initiatives at the local government level,” said Secretary Chandler.

Before joining DATCP, Jeff worked for 22 years for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau as a lobbyist working on both state and federal issues and as the executive director of the member relations division with the responsibility of coordinating the organization’s membership procurement and retention efforts as well as member programs.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, with a degree in Broad Area Agriculture and Journalism. He is a native of Shawano County.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
