If you are a cheese lover take no hast and attend the Wisconsin Cheese Camp. The Wisconsin Cheese Camp is a two-day cheese festival featuring bus tours, a Wisconsin Cheddar dinner, a tasting seminar and Meet the Cheesemaker Gala.
Wisconsin Cheese Camp will take place Nov. 4-5 at The Edgewater in Madison. It is hosted by Jeanne Carpenter, of Wisconsin Cheese Originals.
Camp attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet 30 Wisconsin artisan cheesemakers, taste 150 cheeses different Wisconsin cheeses, tour Wisconsin cheese factories, enjoy a dinner highlighting aged Cheddars, and learn the latest science about “taste of place.”
Cheddars crafted by Master Cheesemaker Sid Cook and a variety of Wisconsin cheesemakers will be featured in the Saturday night Wisconsin Cheddar dinner at The Edgewater. Author Gordon Edgar, cheese buyer for Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco, will be the keynote speaker, and all dinner attendees will receive a complimentary copy of his book: Cheddar: A Journey to the Heart of America’s Most Iconic Cheese.
The camp would not be possible without it’s sponsor Carr Valley Cheese.
All attendees to Sunday’s Meet the Cheesemaker Gala will receive a complimentary insulated lunch bag with the Wisconsin Cheese logo. VIP attendees will also receive complimentary cheeses from Carr Valley.
