Wisconsin Pork Association to Host 18th Annual Golf Outing

Pork producers, allied industry representatives, and friends of the pork industry are all invited to take part in the Wisconsin Pork Association’s 18th Annual Pork Classic golf outing.  This year’s event will take place on September 6 at the Windwood golf Course in Watertown.

Check in, lunch and practice tee will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15.  The four-person scramble tournament will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start.  A reception will be held beginning at 5, followed by dinner.

WPA plans this outing for the purpose of allowing pork industry professionals to network, and to raise revenues to support advocacy and legislative activities on behalf of the Wisconsin pork industry.

The tournament will be a four-person scramble format. Team registration is $380, or individuals can sign-up for $95 and you will be assigned to a team. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, and hole and team prizes. Hole in one prizes, including a chance to win $10,000 cash, will be offered.

Hole, meal, prize and other sponsorship packages are also available starting at $100. The following sponsors have already pledged their support for the 2017 Pork Classic: Johnsonville Sausage; Lynch Livestock, Inc; Compeer Financial; and Minitube USA. Anyone who would like more information on donating prizes or participating as a sponsor should contact the WPA office.

Don’t worry about whether you are an old pro on the course or just a “once in a while putter”, WPA will look forward to having you participate in the 2017 Pork Classic!

The registration deadline is August 18th.  Register by contacting the Wisconsin Pork Association at 608-723-7551, or e-mailing [email protected].  A registration form can also be downloaded at www.wppa.org.

About Pam Jahnke
