Farm Technology days is just weeks away and the different committees are pulling last minute preparations together as the show expects 45000 visitors during its three day run coming up July 11th, 12th and 13th in Algoma…
Farm Technology days is the largest outdoor farm show of its kind in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the country, visitors have the opportunity to travel to a different part of Wisconsin every year as the show moves around the state. The 2017 Farm Technology Days show will be hosted by Ebert Enterprises in Algoma, the farm sets just miles from the shores of Lake Michigan and is in the picturesque landscapes of Kewaunee County on the East side of the state. Visitors to this year’s show are in for quite the treat; the food is almost entirely locally grown and produced. The Ebert family has generously donated enough beef to feed a small army, its almost impossible to get anymore local than that. Brats and hotdogs are being provided by local shops that are renowned for their craft sausages. There will be specialty foods that pay homage to the local Czech ancestry as well as trout caught locally being served up.
When it comes to organization, the food committee has it down, as planning for the three day event started well over a year ago. The bulk of the help has been volunteers as they understand just how important showcasing Wisconsin Agriculture is and just how important showcasing Kewaunee County is. Manning the food stands will be different organizations that are trying to raise money for their clubs and organizations.
