Community Supported Chocolate ?

Bryant recently sat down with Madison chocolate maker Megan Hile, she explains just how she has used the CSA or Community Supported Agriculture model and used it to help make her chocolate company a big success. When asked why she started her chocolate company she responded “I like chocolate and I also like to challenge myself”.

If you think you know chocolate you better take a seat as Hile is quite the Chocolate expert traveling all over South America learning about the cocoa plant and just how the delicious seeds make it to Wisconsin to be eventually enjoyed by all of us.

If you know anything about chocolate making, it is a challenge to make. Megan says she likes to create delicious bites of creamy centers surrounded by a lovely chocolate shell “Something you can sink your teeth into” Hile explains that her chocolates are never the same as she hand makes every batch.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
