World renowned for her ability to think and see like an animal, Dr. Temple Grandin has helped to revolutionize the design of many of our livestock handling equipment today. Dr. Grandin explains that animals are less scared when using her designs, and this transfers to a more positive experience for animals and humans. Dr. Grandin credits the fact that she has autism to much of her success, as she is able to see things differently than the average person.
Dr. Grandin is professor of animal science at Colorado State University. She is highly sought after as a speaker, as she offers simple fixes for many everyday livestock handling problems. Additionally, Dr. Grqandin is called upon to help design sale barns and stock yards all over the world.
This past week, Dr. Grandin presented to a group of horse enthusiasts. She did not disappoint. After the presentation, Dr. Grandin offered advice and answers to a plethora of questions asked by the crowd.
Dr. Grandin put a human perspective on the viewpoints of animals and offered advice to other people who may have disabilities to reach their full potential.
